Nisekoi episode 5 – Forced relationships

The floods over here have not gone
But Nisekoi is still here
So the no-subs viewing lives on
And the halfway point is near

This episode reminded me that
This show is for boys in their teens
For whom going to girls for a chat
Is way beyond their own means

vlcsnap-2014-02-12-11h06m59s77So instead they live in the fantasy
Created by this entertainment
Of being forced to have a fiancée
In these twenty minute segments

It’s something I’ve been noticing
About these wish-fulfilment shows
That apparently the sexiest thing
Is being stuck in each other’s throes

Anything that forces a girl to be
By your side all of the time
Now that is what’s truly sexy
(But not as hot as guys who rhyme)

vlcsnap-2014-02-12-11h09m19s195

It’s a little fucked up in many ways
But it’s fantasy so I’m fine if it stays

Just don’t pretend this show is good
Because it’s not
It’s shit

      1. I think you’re being a bit too harsh on the series. But then again, the weekly dosis of poetry makes up for the harshness XD.

Still i believe, that Nisekoi is just a generic series. So expectations should not be high to begin with. I think for a series of this genre, it has done pretty above average compared to other romance crap we see on other seasons.

Also, please make a haiku review. I wanna see an episode reviewed in just 3 verses!

      2. If the only praise you can give to a series is that it’s not as bad as “something else that’s bad”, then you’ve pretty much just admitted that it’s terrible. Good stuff usually have their own good merits to stand on without comparisons to other series. All I’m seeing regarding Nisekoi is the art, but you can’t rely on that to carry a full-length cartoon for three months (and more, because it’s got another cour coming up sometime in the future).

    1. It’s not even just plain, that would be another thing. This is just aimless meandering around, throwing every harem anime cliche at us as it possibly can in 20 minutes. And boob and ass shots, of course.

      1. That’s why it’s plain, it’s cliche means you’ve seen it a hundred times and nothing new to offer

      2. Nah tired harem anime cliches usually were always stupid, seeing them more than once only makes them more annoying, but they were never very interesting.

  1. This has nothing to do with Nisekoi but I just wanted to mention this.

I haven’t been this hyped up in years. I hope they will animate the one-shot that came in 2008. If you have only seen the anime I would recommend reading that. It sets 3 years after the anime and basically there is now a new Kira. It’s about 40 pages long so it doesn’t take long to read. It shows how huge impact Light left to the whole world.

    1. I’m honestly indifferent. I don’t see what a new thing could add. I don’t really care about anymore Death Note.
